  | A MESSAGE FROM THE UTEP OSR EDITOR "I am currently in my fifth year covering UTEP Athletics, first year with UTEP Official Sports Report. I have lived in the El Paso area for more than 20 years, which has given me a good handle for all of the history behind each of UTEP's storied programs and the ability to know the pulse of the fans in the area. Currently the fans are waiting for football and basketball to reach new heights and make some noise on the national stage. It will be my job to put all of those stories into print for UTEP OSR. Over the last five years, I have covered the Miners and have been able to gain special access to coaches and student-athletes. This behind-the-scenes access will allow OSR to deliver feature stories relevant to UTEP's athletes and always give subscribers breaking news before other media outlets hear about it. The goal of UTEP OSR is to produce stories and content which is original, pertinent and timely so our readers gain an inside look at what's taking place in each of UTEP's respective sports programs. One of the most exclusive aspects of UTEP OSR will be the user interaction. Weekly mailbags and exclusive live chats during games are some of the ways the UTEP OSR is looking to interact with its readership in the near future.
